I would like to welcome you to read our editorial policy, that constitutes guidelines that we should uphold when creating and disseminating content on our websites, social media pages and Internet forums. This policy constitutes a well thought plan that is in line with existing media laws in Kenya. I would like to retaliate our commitment in growing a culture that promotes, responsible journalism, professionalism and non biased reporting.
As guardians of the tenets of good reporting, the Nairobi Sun shall adopt a multi-faceted approach: Truthfulness, Impartiality, Transparency, Accuracy, Authoritative and Fairness. We are living in a world that is increasing leaning on sensationalism. Some digital media platforms or websites are (and have before) been tempted to take positions in reporting on certain issues which gives way to partial reporting. Sources of some of the information may not be disclosed failing to be transparent as a result.
We shall confidently cite our source of information without fear or favor. In regard to accuracy we endeavor to deliver completeness and precise reporting. We also seek to be an authority in our reporting so that other digital media platforms in Kenya and Africa can emulate our standards.
